One of our longest running clients, Pathfinder Bookshop has evolved over the years to become one of New Zealands most popular alternative bookshops.. continually winning Hitwise Top Ten awards. Pathfinder were after a site that is easy to use and fast to load, so together we created a site that has grown to where it is today and will continue to grow with the times. An admin tools allows Pathfinder to sync their store database with their website to keep stocks current and information up to date. The shopping cart has also grown to now include a membership to add ease for their regular customers who return often to repurchase online. The addition of a a mailing list also allows Pathfinder to keep their customers up to date with new releases that become available for subjects that customers have registered an interest in. Another popular feature is the ability for customers to write a review on an item and submit it for pathfinder to preview and approve.

When our client got the rights to sell this product from NZ, he turned to DizzyDesign to use the existing content and add in a few extra features to allow him to have better control of the site and update content without having to know the inner details of how to create a website. The online shopping cart is proving to be popular with customers and has made their shopping experience quick and trouble free.

The newest member of our client base is shortstay.co.nz, an online service to allow people to search for short term accommodation nationwide... for Free!!!. accommodation owners sign up as members to list their properties, and via an admin tool control the dates the property is available as well as providing detailed information on the property itself. The use of a visual calendar system makes the booking process easy as you can see at an instant if a property is available... and when it does become available if it is already booked. The owner of shortstay.co.nz has good control over the site and membership by the use of admin tools that allow them to perform updates, and an automated system checks for membership expires saving them a lot of time and effort.
